Network & PC Specialist II

As a Network & PC Specialist II, your responsibilities will be to provide hardware and software technical support for PCs and LANs, which includes supporting and maintaining installation and configuration on all desktop hardware/software products and Personal Computers. In addition, provide support for Avaya traditional and IP Telephony, PBX, and Contact Center solutions as well as Help Desk support for all end users handling issues related to these systems and applications.   
Act as primary IT contact for all Desktop/Network related customer projects and escalations related to the Sunrise, FL office. Mentor and train PC/Network Technician 1 employee to build skills. Handle all scheduling needs and coordinate all after hours support.

• Assists in assessing network growth requirements and upgrading of LAN systems.
• Assist when needed with installs, maintenance and repairs of LAN networks.
• Set-up of printers and file services.
• Perform operating system and application software upgrades on both desktop systems and assist with servers.
• Serves as troubleshooter on moderately complex PC and data network problems.
• Configures, builds, installs, maintains and repairs all PCs.
• Performs both hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Maintains/expands technical knowledge of data systems via on the job training, reading and taking outside courses.
• Administration of network addresses.
• Administration of software licenses.
• Maintains inventory and property management records.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned, as required, by management.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Good working knowledge of Local Area Network technology, including hubs, switches and routers.
• Thorough technical knowledge of Personal Computers, configuration and installation of PC equipment, desktop software products and LAN systems required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Some lifting up to 40 pounds may be required
• Considerable walking around facilities
• Use of PCs, various desk-top software products and LAN
• Repetitive use of right/left feet/hands
• High Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation
Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in support of Windows based Personal Computers in a LAN environment.
• Good Data Center experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant education at the college level or equivalent experience.
• Prefer 2+ Years in a lead or supervisory IT role.
• Prefer A+ and/or Network+ certifications
