IT Computer Set-up Specialist I (Contingent Worker Assignment)

Location:San Angelo, TX
Note: This is a Temporary Contingent Worker assignment opportunity in our San Angelo, Texas office.

As Network and PC Specialist I, you will provide hardware and software technical support for PCs and LANs, which includes supporting and maintaining installation and configuration on all desktop hardware/software products and Personal Computers. In addition, provide support for Avaya traditional and IP Telephony, PBX, and Contact Center solutions as well as Help Desk support for all end users handling issues related to these systems and applications.

Essential duties:

• Configures and installs both desktop and server software products.
• Perform operating system and application software upgrades on both desktop systems and servers.
• Configures, builds, installs, maintains and repairs all PCs.
• Prepares and coordinates issuance/return (or shipment and return shipment) of equipment to/from end users. 
• Maintains inventory and property management records.
• Perform other incidentals and related duties as required and assigned based upon volume of work in the department.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• The ability to install both PC equipment and desk-top software products

Physical Requirements:

• Sit/stand/walk 8-12 hours/day
• Lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally
• Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation
Education and Experience:

• 1+ years of IT/PC set-up experience
• 1+ years experience in applications and computer troubleshooting support / customer service
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience required

Other Requirements:

-Performant is a government contractor and has specific client requirements.
-Must submit to and pass background check. Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.  Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
-Must submit to and pass drug screen.
-Must submit to and pass client required clearances
-Requires submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company
