Developer in Test III

Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Developer in Test with strong contemporary skills, familiarity with agile methodologies, and commitment to building software solutions that enable technology excellence. Use your creativity and technical savvy to build and shape a product for our business, and leverage your passion for solving complex technical requirements and issues. 

As a developer you will be responsible for:

-Produce high quality code resulting from knowledge of automated testing and Microsoft technologies and frameworks
-Design testing automation frameworks depending on product implementation for front and backend testing irrespective of implementation language.
-Setup/deploy changes for specific stories and perform end-to-end testing – involving the full tear-down and reconfiguring of all required components
-Participating in product test design meetings, daily standups, backlog grooming, and product demo’s based upon knowledge and understanding of the Agile development methodology
-Troubleshoot deployment-level issues involving windows services and MSMQ
-Conduct code reviews and offer code-level feedback on bugs found during testing
-Submit code-patches for developer review, based on end-to-end testing
-Develop integration test cases based on the story content (technical stories and UI-involved stories)
-Collaborate with developers and build out acceptance criteria for stories
-Produce detailed documentation outlining the testing activity
-Demonstrating a strong work ethic, a “can do” attitude and be highly productive
-Learning new technologies and develop tools to remain abreast of current testing and development technologies
-Taking on what’s needed to help the team and the company meet objectives
-Mentor junior member of the team 
 
NOTES:
*Must be able to meet requirements for and perform work assignments in accordance with Company policies and expectations on a home remote basis (and must meet Performant remote-worker requirements) until at which time staff will be notified and required to work from a Performant office location. Basic office equipment required to perform remote work is provided by the company.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum 5+ years of applicable experience with demonstrated competency, and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an Agile environment is required.  

Applicable experience must include demonstrated competency and a minimum of 5+ years’ using the following tools and technologies: 

-Visual Studio
-NUnit or MStest or equivalent
-C# programming language
-ASP.NET MVC ,Web API or WCF Service
-SQL, sql server
-Source Code Versioning tools such as SVN, GIT or comparable
-Object Oriented Principles (OOP) for design

Applicable experience must include demonstrated competency and a minimum of 2+ years’ using the following tools and technologies:  

-Selinium Web Driver or equivalent
-Load test frameworks JMeter or equivalent
-SpecFlow, Model Junit, or other test modeling tools

Technologies that are a nice to have, but not required:

-Team City or other build server technologies
-Messaging Services or other Enterprise Service Busin(ESB) technology
-Javascript Libraries such as JQuery, Angular JS or comparable
-NHibernate, Linq, Entity Framework, or comparable Object Relationship Mapper
-Powershell or other scripting language
-CSS
-HTML/ XML
 

Education and Experience:
-Must have BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science or related
-You have the experience and background required to be successful in the role.

Other Requirements:

*Completion of Teleworker Agreement upon hire, and adherence to the Agreement (and related policies and procedures) including, but not limited to: able to navigate computer and phone systems as a user to work remote independently using on-line resources, must have high-speed internet connectivity, appropriate workplace able to be compliant with HIPAA, safety & ergonomics, confidentiality, and dedicated work focus without distractions during working hours.

*Ability to obtain and maintain client required clearances as well as pass company regular background and/or drug screening. 

*Must submit to and pass pre-hire background check, as well as additional checks throughout employment.

*Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must bot have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors, nor on state/federal debarment or exclusion lists.

*Must submit to and pass drug screen pre-employment (and throughout employment).

*Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position requires submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company.
