Human Resources Manager (Remote)

The HR Manager applies well-rounded HR experience and skills to support assigned business groups.  Makes an impact on HR service delivery with focus on our most valuable asset - our people.

In this position, you will exercise the usual authority of a human resources manager related to business support needs and issues that may arise in employee life-cycle including, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management and coaching, attendance, training, development, staff onboarding and terminations. Supports and collaborates internally for effective approaches and successful recruiting, employee leave activity, and other HR activities, infrastructure, and initiatives.  Ensures procedures and assigned staff are in compliance with contract requirements, federal, state, and local regulations, and company policy. 

•Provides full cycle Human Resources support to assigned locations and business groups. 
•Effectively handles routine and complex employee relations matters, performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, investigations, conflict mediation, and coaching of employees and managers in a variety of situations.
•Deploys or supports recruitment strategies to successfully meet staffing plans, and support organization changes and talent management needs. May collaborate with or oversee recruiter(s) supporting assigned client group(s). 
•Provides functional, operational support for HR staff at all levels. Provides coverage and backup support for other locations and business groups as needed. 
•Provides coaching and guidance to management regarding employee actions by researching and collaborating with the HR management team. Contributes to the  development, and update of policies, procedures, methods and guidelines. Communicates and reinforces understanding and interpretation of, as well as accountability for adherence to company policies and procedures.
•Collaborates with HR management team and to contribute to the development, continuous improvement and implementation of policies, procedures, workflow, programs, and other HR initiatives. May lead or co-lead projects.
•Provides an objective HR and business perspective to managing business concerns across all levels and functions.
•Collaborates with the Corporate subject matter experts and team for effective handling of leave of absence activity;
•Ensures successful completion of compliance training and other required activities of assigned locations and groups.
•Effectively uses technology for HR workflow and to support assigned groups.
•Performs other related duties as required or requested.
•Adheres to all company, departmental and client policies, procedures and requirements. Maintains clearances and licenses as required for position based upon assignment. 
•Represents the company in the community, demonstrating a commitment to established vision and values. Actively promotes the company brand in business development and employee recruitment efforts.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

•Skilled at applying depth and breadth of knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and other areas of HR program principles, best practices, legal and regulatory requirements to successfully drive resolution to employee matters, change management, and manage HR programs.
•Solid technical skills and competency working with various HRIS platforms (Workday experience highly desired). Intermediate skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
•Good understanding of basic project coordination principles and tools, and ability to effectively lead small projects or initiatives.
•Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 
•Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
•Ability to apply strong investigative and analytical skills to resolve complex issues, identify root causes and trends and develop recommendations.
•Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams with employees at all levels in the organization.
•Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
•Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, collaborate effectively and maintain a positive attitude in fast paced, dynamic environment.
•Ability to understand the business and its objectives to serve as an effective partner.
•Ability to lead by example and provide day-to-day functional support at all levels.
•Effective listening skills with the ability to develop and deliver compelling, persuasive directions. 
•Understanding of Service Contract Act highly desired.
•Completion of Teleworker Agreement upon hire, and adherence to the Agreement (and related policies and procedures) including, but not limited to: able to navigate computer and phone systems as a user to work remote independently using on-line resources, must have high-speed internet connectivity, appropriate workspace able to be compliant with HIPAA, safety & ergonomics, confidentiality, and dedicated work focus without distractions during work hours.

Physical Requirements:

**NOTE: Must be able to meet requirements for and perform work assignments in accordance with Company policies and expectations on a home remote basis (and must meet Performant remote-worker requirements) until at which time staff may be notified and required to work from a Performant office location on an ad-hoc or periodic basis.

Basic office equipment required to perform remote work is provided by the company.
•Job is performed in a standard busy office environment with moderate noise level (or may be home-office setting subject to Company approval and Teleworker Agreement), sits at a desk during scheduled shift, uses office phone or headset provided by the Company for calls, making outbound calls and answering inbound return calls using an office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse.
•Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed). 
•Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; has the option to stand as needed while on calls; reach as needed to use office equipment.
•Consistently viewing a computer screen and types frequently, but not constantly, using a keyboard to update accounts.
•Consistently communicates on the phone as required primarily within the department and company and may include client contacts or other third-party depending on assignment with account holders, may dial manually when need or use dialer system; headset is also provided.
•Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs.
Education and Experience:
•Depth and breadth of HR experience, generally 5 years or more, in a progressive professional Human Resources management position with scope similar to the position. 
•Experience with the application of federal and state employment and leave laws and how they work together. 
•Experience providing assessment, advice, and resolution of complex employee relations matters.
•Experience developing and managing HR policies and programs.
