Sr. Compensation Analyst

Performant has a great opportunity for a multi-faceted and highly analytical HR/Compensation professional is looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a diverse, fast-paced business environment. You will recommend and approve compensation related employee actions; conduct research, analysis, planning, and implementation contributing to the continuous development of compensation and rewards infrastructure, tools, training, and policies & procedures. In addition, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in HR initiatives such as M&A due diligence and integration, HR Sharepoint tools, and Workday buildout. 

What you will do: 
•Write and/or review job descriptions and maintain job profiles for the organization. 
•Conducts job analysis and makes classification/pay level determinations. (EEO-1/FLSA) This includes reviewing job questionnaires, conferring with managers and employees, evaluating jobs and preparing written reports on findings. Communicates with stakeholders regarding the result of compensation work
•Identify appropriate market data sources, and own participation in and leveraging of surveys to obtain and analyze market pay rates. 
•Contribute to the design, development and implementation of infrastructure for base salary structures and other reward programs.
•Review jobs for reorganizations, contractual reviews and projects, including both job audit and evaluation. Documents job-specific findings and recommendations to contribute to a comprehensive project report
•Support analysis, development and administration of variable compensation and other rewards programs, policies and guidelines
•Develop guidelines for compensation actions and contribute to development of training materials regarding compensation 
•Review/approve employee actions in Workday related to compensation and rewards
•Collaborate with applicable HR team members to contribute to buildout and enhancement of Workday functionality and configuration (and other HR systems and tools) to support HR programs, policies and procedures
•Conduct analysis for due diligence and support integration planning for M&A activity 
•Contribute to cross-discipline HR initiatives-Collaborate effectively within the HR team as well as with management and key stakeholders across the company
•Align with and demonstrate company core values (People, Innovation and Excellence) -Effectively deliver results aligned with HR and business objectives
•Provide excellent customer service, collaborate effectively and maintain positive attitude in fast paced, dynamic environment. 
•Make good decisions and perform work independently to drive results given direction in the form of objectives.

•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

•Demonstrated depth of applied expertise in Compensation and applicable employment laws and regulations;
•Knowledge and experience with Service Contract Act a plus, but not required
•Strong analytical capability and process mind-set with insatiable curiosity 
•Technical skills and competency working with HRIS platforms (Workday experience a plus)
•Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong competency in other MS Office applications (Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)  
•Ability to lead projects and analyze/resolve complex issues involving diverse data sets, systems, laws or other factors
•Previous M&A due diligence or integration experience desired 
•Polished and professional communication skills 
•Customer service attitude and mentality -Strong knowledge of applicable labor laws 
•Solid project management and program development capabilities 
•Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
•Adapts quickly and effectively to changing business needs
•Demonstrates excellent judgment  

Physical Requirements: 
Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk and participates in meetings, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed). 
- Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; reach as needed to use office equipment. 
- Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse. 
- Uses phone; head-set can be provided. 
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs. 
-Able to sit at desk, working on computer and phones for a full work day 
-Able to work full time in assigned office, including extended hours during critical project phases 
Education and Experience:
•BA/BS in Business, Management, Finance, Human Resources (or related field) OR equivalent combination of education and experience 
•CCP desired (but not required if demonstrated compensation competencies and experience)
•5+ years experience in HR with HR analysis and project-based responsibilities 
•3+ years professional level compensation program analysis and development 
•Experience developing and maintaining job profiles and job structures/job families
•Experience developing and maintaining compensation structures and tools
•Experience driving relevant projects and programs

Other Requirements:

- Must submit to and pass background check.
- Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
- Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
- Must submit to and pass drug screen.
