ETL Developer

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated and confident ETL Developer who has a strong thirst for learning and a drive to succeed in their chosen career. Your ability to interact with people/teams and build strong collaborative working relationships with teams and colleagues will be the core to your success in this role. 
 
This role will be focused on creating new data transformation processes to meet new company objectives throughout the organization using several different technologies including but not limited to SSIS, TSQL, C# and Altova Mapforce.
 
Owning the day to day operations of monitoring and maintaining existing transformation processes will be a part of your daily objectives.
 
Understanding how everything flows together will be pivotal in understanding the importance of the processes you create and the impact they will have on other departments within the organization. 
 
In this role you will be assigned to a Data Services team that works on mission critical platforms to provide quality data to the organization’s users through various reporting systems.  

You will:
-Deliver ETL components as specified in the design, functional and non-functional requirements, within established timing and quality standards.
-Design, prototype, develop, test cases, and document ETL components.
-Perform unit testing of ETL components and document test results.
-Complete code reviews for ETL components and documentation of issues identified and action items.
-Work standard business hours and as required to meet business needs. Must be able to work nights, weekends to meet timelines when required. 


Required Skills and Knowledge:
-Excellent data analysis skills
-Knowledge of database modeling and design concepts
-Understand the process of extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SSIS or later
-Basic working knowledge of Structured Query Language  (SQL)

Education and Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
-1+ year of relevant development experience interacting with a database platform (SQL, Oracle, mysql, other RDMS)
-1+ year of C# experience a plus
-SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) exposure

*experience may include relevant college-based projects
