Staffing Specialist

Responsibilities:
Apply your passion for attracting and selecting the best talent to meet business needs, and experience in full cycle recruiting, recruiting strategies, recruitment advertising, and on-boarding to make a strong impact in a dynamic and diverse organization. We’re looking for a dynamic professional to work from and support the business group needs in the assigned office location, but may also support recruiting needs in other sites based upon business needs. 

As a Staffing Specialist you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships in the applicable local and industry talent markets, with candidates, hiring managers, and within the HR Team to make a significant impact. 

•Applies recruitment strategies to successfully meet staffing plans and support organizational changes for assigned locations or business units. 
•Conducts applicant screening, skills assessments and interviews. Conducts offer negotiations and finalizes offer documentation. Delivers a high quality on-boarding experience for new hires. 
•Builds strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their business and support their hiring needs.
•Develops a quality candidate pipeline and manages an effective company social media recruiting presence. 
•Maintains compliance with company policy, client compliance, and applicable laws and regulations. 
•Participates in planning or facilitating local or industry career fairs or events, including virtual events.
•Provides interview feedback to hiring managers and adjusts recruiting strategy as needed. 
•Provides insight into staffing challenges by analyzing programs, staffing activity, and developing strong rapport and credibility with client groups.
•Appropriately leverages Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other HR systems and tools for successful requisition to hire process.
•Supports communication and deployment of programs such as intern and scholarship programs, employee referral program, and other HR Programs.
•Performs other related duties as required or requested.
•Adheres to all company, departmental and client policies, procedures and requirements. Maintains clearances and licenses as required for position based upon assignment. 
•Completes assigned training on time and with acceptable scores. Demonstrates understanding of training materials and applies knowledge in appropriate situations.
•Learns and gains proficiency in general HR activities in field office and able to provide additional support or back-up as needed for high volume activity or when team members are out.
•Communicate ideas and contribute to development of solutions for process improvements, or policy and procedure changes regarding employment practices
•Participate in project initiatives and performs other related duties as required or requested to support the HR strategy and overall department
•Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to meet business needs 
 
Required Skills and Knowledge:
•Ability to successfully recruit and meet hiring goals for diverse positions and industries such as: high volume clerical, call center and collections; healthcare services and related; technical and analytical; or other cross functional back office or management positions. 
•Applied knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws.
•Skilled in effectively and efficiently using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
•Ability to build professional relationships that support success for the department and company.
•General business knowledge and broad functional understanding, with ability to quickly comprehend business, functions, and jobs to be effective in position.
•Solid writing skills and demonstrated ability to write a variety of content that supports recruitment activities including but not limited to advertisements, recruiting programs, job aides, and candidate communications. 
•Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate and sell a value proposition to candidates.
•Demonstrated excellent judgment and keen attention to detail. Good critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
•Ability to prioritize and produce high quality results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt rapidly to changing business needs.
•Solid technical skills in Applicant Tracking Systems (and HRIS systems preferred); as well as quick learner of new systems.
•Ability to work full time during business hours and as required to meet business needs, with excellent attendance.
 •Generally less than 10%: May require occasional travel to other offices or recruiting events. 



Physical Requirements
Full-time work hours during core business hours, and as required to meet business needs, in a busy office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk during assigned office hours, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse.
-Sit approximately 85% of the day.
-Stand/walk approximately 15% of the day.
-Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10 lbs.
-Consistently viewing a computer screen and keyboard frequently approximately 75% of time.
-Communicates constantly on the phone (head-set provided) or in person with internal and external contacts.
 
Education and Experience:
•Associates degree in business, human resources or a related area or combination of education and equivalent practical experience.
•Clearances as required by contract assignment.
•Prior experience, generally 3 years or more, of related full-cycle recruiting for diverse positions and industries (Healthcare, call-center, collections, technical, management, clerical/administrative).
•Some experience in related HR generalist experience, including onboarding and related activities.

Other Requirements
-Ability to successfully receive clearances for client requirements (facilitated through the company) 
 -Must submit to and pass background check. Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.  Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
-Must submit to and pass drug screen.
