Human Resources Clerk (Temporary Agency Assignment)

Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and functional support to the Human Resources Department. 

• Support local recruiter with recruiting, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, following up with candidates regarding pre-employment background screening, and assisting at hiring events.
• Sort, classify, or reconcile information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order.
• Performs repetitive clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, collating materials and documents.
• Assist with monitoring HR office supplies and requests approval to replenish when needed to maintain sufficient quantities within the department. 
• Perform other incidentals and related duties as required and assigned.
 
Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to a changing and fast pace environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including good phone etiquette.
• Highly dependable with great attendance.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Good computer skills and intermediate proficiency using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).


Physical Requirements
Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk during scheduled shift, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed).
* Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; walks/moves around buildings as needed to perform job; reach as needed to use office equipment.
* Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse.
* Uses phone; head-set can be provided.
* Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs.
 
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office environment providing clerical support.
• Preferred experience providing support in Human Resources.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Excel, Word.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.

Other Requirements

* Must submit to and pass background check and drug screen.

* Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.

* Must not have any current defaulted student loans.

* Must be able to pass a criminal background check (must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors).

* Performant is a government contractor (certain client assignments for this position may require additional background and/or clearances).
