As an Account Servicing Representative (Income Document Retrieval Specialist) you will be contacting borrowers in a repayment arrangement that have incomplete or missing income documentation.

The Account Servicing Representative (Income Document Retrieval Specialist) contacts borrowers in a repayment arrangement that will not result in a loan rehabilitation unless complete income documentation is obtained

Essential duties:
To pursue every possible lead to contact an inventory of borrowers that are already in a repayment arrangement, eligible for loan rehabilitation, but have incomplete, or missing income documentation to be approved. Each individual borrower account may require the following actions, but not limited to: 
• Skip trace a borrower with incomplete location information to obtain good contact information.
• Determine if the current payment amount on an account can be approved for any rehabilitation program.
• Determine the exact income documentation that is missing on an account to make the current payment eligible for rehabilitation approval. 
• Determine if an approval transaction is missing on an account that would allow it to be added to the rehab funnel immediately.
• Determine if an account can ever be approved for a rehabilitation program.
• Determine if an account can be added into an approved rehabilitation immediately if the billing arrangement information is modified to match the current payment amount.
• Negotiate a revised recurring payment arrangement.
• Verify the borrower’s current address and telephone information, or obtain references for the borrower if they are deficient.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of all applicable retention/rehabilitation requirements.
• Expert knowledge in how the Rehabilitation Tracking System works.
• Ability to conceptualize and convert data into possible actions.
• Good problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to maintain high accuracy in a very repetitive and narrow job scope. 
• Ability to maintain composure under difficult interactions.
• Excellent personal commitment and attendance.
• Ability to make good use of time and maintain high productivity under limited supervision. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications  (Excel and Word)

Physical Requirements
• Sit/stand/walk 8-10 hours/day.
• Lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally.
• Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation.
• Weekend and overtime hours may be required of this position with short notice.

Education and Experience:
• 3 years general work experience with high interaction with the public either in person or on the phone.
• Recent and regular use of Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel and  Word)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bilingual preferred 

Other Requirements
* Must submit to and pass background check. 
* Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
* Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
* Must submit to and pass drug screen.
*Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require additional background and/or clearances.
