Compliant Resolution Specialist

As a Complaint Resolution Specialist, your responsibilities will be:

• Investigate and resolve borrower, third party and client complaints as well as regulatory agency inquiries as they relate to regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Investigate and research account history and other collection tools to assess the validity of the allegations, taking into account the possible outcome of allegations vs. findings. Decide appropriate priority level of response. Complete professionally written response to complainant addressing research, findings to allegations and provide account resolution information.
• Written responses must be completed within confines of regulatory agency requirements and client contractual obligations, Fair Debt Collection Practiced Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Privacy Act and other state and federal regulations.
• Report valid allegations/findings to ensure collector behavior is researched and/or monitored for Compliance purposes and ensure valid findings are reported.
• Complete client requirements concerning weekly/monthly complaint reporting, and supply supervisor with monthly reports based on the information contained in the compliance response log.
• Review credit bureau disputes received via E-Oscar and respond within the required time frame.
• Review and process all Cease and Desist media in accordance with contractual requirements, following up as necessary.
• Investigate and complete Security Event Tracking Form (SETF) when notified of the disclosure of a borrower's Personally Identifiable Information (PII), ensuring proper Performant procedure is followed.
• Update and maintain Compliance Response Log with date compliant received and responded to.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills required to communicate with external parties.
• Demonstrates sound judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on work in various stages of completion.
• Demonstrate ability to be detail-oriented as it relates to investigating allegations and determining appropriate conclusions.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access Database

Physical Requirements:

• Sit/stand/walk 8-12hr/day
• Lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally
• Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation
• Able to work in a fast pace environment for 8-12 hours/day
• Able to sit at desk, working on computer and phones for a full work day

Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Detailed knowledge of the collection process
• Experience with Promise Land (and LCS) and client systems preferred.
• 2 years collection experience preferred
