We are hiring for the following position:

The Healthcare Services Business Analyst plans, defines, designs, coordinates, manages, and contributes to the definition of Healthcare division programs and projects through jointly owning business process analysis, workflow definition, project requirements, application functionality, stakeholder management, and user testing.  

•Manages and performs all aspects of requirements gathering for Healthcare services projects 
•Documents, presents information, and leads discussions related to process flows, high-level business requirements, detailed functional requirements, use cases, data flows, UI mock-ups, and user test scripts 
•Demonstrates the ability to contribute to multiple concurrent high visibility projects, technology, service or process related
•Troubleshoots and understands application functionality from a user perspective
•Acts as subject matter expert on establishing efficient and scalable business processes for corresponding business unit(s)
•Understands how requirements impact application design and end-user functionality
•Maintains project pipeline in conjunction with contributing to project scope definition
•Creates application, Program, and/or project roadmap(s) in conjunction with stakeholders to provide visibility into business needs
•Collaborates with project team to help rationalize, plan, scope, and schedule future projects
•Works with business partners to develop concepts and requirements for new system and service initiatives
•Completes and assists with status reports and project presentations
•Collaborates with team members with assigned tasks and manages own project tasks on a day-to-day basis
•Works closely with all business roles, including Implementation, Account Management, services supervisors, client care, HCS PMO and IT
•Works with individuals and teams across platforms, applications, and/or business lines
•Provides consistent and comprehensive status updates on a regular basis
•Contributes to the processes and the methodologies pertaining to the business analysis of projects and acts as an expert knowledgeable of all aspects of their use and deployment
•Participates in lessons learned at the end of each project
•Performs problem management responsibilities as needed
•Assists other business analyst resources as needed
•Assists PMO and/or Governance functions with status and metric reporting as needed
•Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
 
Required Skills and Knowledge:

•Competency in computer programs: MS Office and Visio; off-the shelf and proprietary software applications
•Experience with requirements, prototyping, and team collaboration tools
•Familiar with project management tools & processes
•Possesses multi-limb and eye-hand coordination
•Able to work extended hours during critical project phases
•Comfortable with application requirements, business process analysis and design, and user-centered design principles
•Excellent communication, writing, critical thinking, analytical, and presentation skills
•Able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
•Ability to work on projects with a professional attitude and exceptional organizational skills under pressure
•Ability to collaborate with peers and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders and organizations


Physical Requirements: 
Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, or may be remote. Sits at a desk and participates in meetings, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed). 
- Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; has the option to stand as needed while on calls; reach as needed to use office equipment. 
- Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse. 
- Uses phone; head-set can be provided. 
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs.
-Some travel may be required
 
Education and Experience:

•BA or BS degree in related discipline, or equivalent experience
•Business Analyst certification a plus
•A minimum of 5 years’ experience with IT or Healthcare services business analysis with software projects
•Demonstrated experience analyzing business process implications for requirements on projects
•Demonstrated experience analyzing business needs and requirements for various types of software projects
•Experience with industry standard requirements gathering, documentation, management, and validation methodologies
•Experience creating project artifacts to facilitate the business analysis process
•Demonstrated experience in controlling project scope while actively mitigating risks and issues for the project through business analysis input
•Demonstrated accountability, task ownership, and maturity
•Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously with cross matrix teams
•Proven effectiveness with producing high quality work products
•Portfolio of recent writing and analysis samples

Other requirements:
- Must submit to and pass pre-hire background check, as well as additional checks throughout employment- Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
- Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
- Must submit to and pass drug screen.

Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company.
