As the Solution Sales Engineer at Performant, you will have the responsibility for growing our business by partnering with our Sales Executives to present the Performant solution offerings and technical architecture in a best fit solution based upon their business to prospects and customers, evoke confidence and business value and handle all technical questions and objectives during the sales cycle with emphasis on Commercial Healthcare and Government markets. You will be responsible for solution demonstrations during the sales process, ensure that all client demos incorporate the latest we have to offer, are customized to meet our clients’ needs, and “wow” potential clients.
Sales and Marketing
•Assist in driving sales to full attainment of team quota.
•Lead technical discussions with client teams, explaining our solutions and deployment approaches.
•Architect solutions during the sales process to be put into formal bids.
•Understand the client need and establish Performant’s offering as the best solution that addresses that need.
•Ability to present customer facing demonstrations on-site and/or via WebEx
•Present Performant’s diverse and flexible solution capability and approach, and its value proposition for our clients
•Understand client requirements and limitations and work collaboratively towards scoping optimal solutions
•Support response to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs/RFQs
•Participate in trade shows, industry conferences and corporate meetings as required.
•Develop and maintain presentation materials to facilitate sales discussions and definition of offerings.
•Understand target company business and educate target companies on Performant offerings to identify solution opportunities.
•Successfully support high volume of simultaneous opportunities that are 6-12 month sales cycles
•Deliver effective presentations to prospects and articulate Performant’s message, solutions and differentiators.
•Build relationships and collaborate internally effectively.
•Participate in developing sales tools and process based on best business practices and sales strategy.
•Travel as required.
•Other tasks and assignments as required to meet business needs.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

•Strong understanding of the healthcare industry

•Strong technical and presentation skills that can be leveraged to understand and effectively communicate Performant solutions.
•Applies excellent interpersonal skills both in one-on-one situations and in larger group meetings.
•An effective communicator with all levels, including C-level decision makers, in a positive and professional manner that aligns with Performant Company Values (People, Excellence and Innovation)
•Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with customers and key stakeholders through collaboration, adapting and consulting.

•Ability to travel 30-50% of time
• Sit/stand/walk 8-12hr/day
• Lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally
• Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation
• Heavy phone and computer use
Education and Experience:
•5-8 years’ experience in sales engineering, technical consulting or professional services; customer-facing experience a must
•Prefer experience in healthcare commercial markets
•BA/BS, computer science, information systems, business, or marketing, or equivalent.
